(\u2026) Le vouloir-dire qui relie objets, lieux et personnages devient probl\u00e9matique, abyssal, ou apor\u00e9tique.\u00a0\u00bb<br \/>\nGeorges Didi-Huberman<\/p>\n<p>Toute l&rsquo;oeuvre de Corinne Vilcaz repose sur une structure paradoxale. De par ses fonds, et les courants color\u00e9s qui les composent, cette oeuvre appartient au mouvement de l&rsquo;abstraction lyrique; autrement dit, \u00e0 cette tendance de la peinture contemporaine qui n&rsquo;a pas peur de renoncer \u00e0 la souverainet\u00e9 de l&rsquo;intention (du vouloir-dire) pour gagner la possibilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;un surgissement pur, d&rsquo;une parousie, d&rsquo;une incarnation. Tandis que de l&rsquo;autre, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire, du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des figures qui flottent \u00e0 la surface mouvante de ses fonds, elle s&rsquo;inscrit, avec une gr\u00e2ce toute particuli\u00e8re, dans le monde profane de la figuration. Et c&rsquo;est \u00e0 partir de cette scission, de ce chiasme, de cette ligne de f\u00ealure, que peut \u00eatre saisie, dans toute sa subtilit\u00e9, la puissance de cette oeuvre bifrons.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;un point de vue strictement visuel, Corinne Vilcaz est une po\u00e8te de la couleur. Elle sait comment faire jouer ensemble les plus t\u00e9nues diff\u00e9rences de tons et de lumi\u00e8res; comment manier, avec une \u00e9gale finesse, le pinceau, la brosse et la truelle; comment disposer, sur un axe tant\u00f4t horizontal, tant\u00f4t vertical, les masses, les couches et les \u00e9paisseurs. C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 pourquoi, d&rsquo;ailleurs, sa peinture pourrait \u00eatre d\u00e9crite comme une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des harmoniques secr\u00e8tes qui gouvernent la mati\u00e8re. Car ce qui se donne en elle, ce qui vient immanquablement percuter l&rsquo;oeil de ses spectateurs, c&rsquo;est d&rsquo;abord et avant tout un complexe de sensations \u2013 et non le sens de la structure paradoxale qui en soutient l&rsquo;ivresse.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, et bien qu&rsquo;une telle lecture poss\u00e8de son inali\u00e9nable v\u00e9rit\u00e9, il n&rsquo;en reste pas moins que l&rsquo;oeuvre de Corinne Vilcaz chuchote aussi, \u00e0 ceux qui, cette fois, ont des oreilles pour entendre, que toute beaut\u00e9 abstraite n&rsquo;acquiert son sens v\u00e9ritable qu&rsquo;\u00e0 partir du moment o\u00f9 elle est mise en relation avec les figures (o\u00f9 leurs vestiges) qui la hantent et qui ne cessent de se d\u00e9former au contact de son inspiration. Car d\u00e8s l&rsquo;instant qu&rsquo;une telle mise en relation n&rsquo;est pas effectu\u00e9e, ce n&rsquo;est pas seulement la moiti\u00e9 de la force de cette peinture qui se perd, mais quelque chose comme sa destination anagogique, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire, sa vocation spirituelle.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9sirant, avant tout, lib\u00e9rer la figuration de ses attaches sensibles \u2013 pour mieux retrouver, dans un simple bouquet de fleurs, les traces d&rsquo;une pr\u00e9sence, d&rsquo;une substance, d&rsquo;un \u00eatre, qui transcende, par d\u00e9finition, les bornes du visible m\u00eame \u2013 l&rsquo;oeuvre de Corinne Vilcaz est \u00e0 la peinture abstraite ce que les sc\u00e8nes d&rsquo;Annonciation furent \u00e0 la peinture en perspective de la Renaissance, autrement dit, la tentative de donner corps, \u00e0 m\u00eame les vibrations de la mati\u00e8re, \u00e0 cet instant fragile, impossible, innommable, d&rsquo;une survenue du blanc pur \u2013 de la quintessence \u2013 \u00e0 m\u00eame les b\u00e9gaiements d&rsquo;une mati\u00e8re devenue lyrique. Et si, envers et contre sa pure beaut\u00e9, l&rsquo;oeuvre de cette artiste n&rsquo;\u00e9tait qu&rsquo;une hymne ath\u00e9e (et amoureuse de sa propre immanence) en l&rsquo;honneur d&rsquo;un Dieu inconnu et dont la forme inform\u00e9e se confond avec celle de la couleur pure ?
